Plan to join us at school on Tuesday, September 1 from 5:00-7:30 PM when teachers will share their plan for the school year. Come and learn about the curriculum for your child's grade level and hear all that is in store for 2015-2016.
The evening is geared towards parents and it can be quite a long night for students since they do not actively participate in the event. The best plan for childcare is to make arrangements away from campus. However, if childcare is a challenge for your family, you may register your child for the after-school program (1:30-6:00 PM) with Martha (310-471-3384 or 323-954-7250). Supervision for school-aged children will continue beginning at 6PM in the auditorium with a PG-rated movie so parents can attend the classroom meetings.
Back-to-School Night is a wonderful opportunity for parents to vote for Community Council representatives, meet the teachers and staff members, see the classrooms, the library, and the CATCH room, and to learn first-hand what your children will be learning and doing this school year…but it’s not time for a parent conference. Please save those conversations for the conference window that begins during the last week in September.
